“Our once great western Christian civilization is dying. If this matters to followers of Jesus Christ, then we must set aside our denominational differences and work together to strengthen the things that remain and reclaim what has been lost. Evangelicals and Catholics must stand together to re-establish that former Christian culture and moral consensus. We have the numbers and the organization but the question is this: Do we have the will to win this present spiritual battle for Jesus Christ against secularism? Will we prayerfully and cooperatively work toward a new Christian spiritual revival ― or will we choose to hunker down in our churches and denominationalisms and watch everything sink into the spiritual and moral abyss of a New Dark Age?” - Mark Davis Pickup

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE PRESENTATION

LaRee & Mark Pickup
This past weekend my wife LaRee and I spoke to Centre Street Church in Calgary, Alberta (Canada). It's one of the largest and most active evangelical churches in the city and have a wonderful special needs community outreach.
Over a 24 hours period, we spoke four times to their various congregations. Our presentations were simulcast to each of their six affiliate churches throughout the Calgary area.
You can see one of our presentations at
LaRee has endured so much over many years. As you can see from the video, she has a transparent honesty, a tender heart and a disarming vulnerability. This resonated deeply with the people. From the best we can determine, somewhere between 6,000 and 7,500 people were addressed over the four services and feedback was most encouraging.
Many post-abortive women* and families of people with profound disabilities came to us after each service. (They were particularly interested in speaking to LaRee.) We pray that her willingness to meet them at their need, pain and sorrow -- even for a short time -- helped them to take the first steps toward spiritual and emotional healing and tap the formidable counselling resources available at this very fine church.

If you feel we can serve your community or church in a similar way, feel free to contact me by email at humanlifematters@shaw.ca or mpickup@shaw.ca

(*Abortion is so pervasive in North American culture. We know that the unfortunate statistical reality indicates that a large church such as Centre Street Church has many people directly affected by abortion.)
